First, human toothpaste is on option. It will make you dog ill, and I believe it can be toxic to dogs. There is dog toothpaste out there as well a very small dog toothbrushes. There are also dog toothbrushes that fit over your finger.


I read here the other day that someone uses medical tape wrapped around finger to brush. The tape has a texture that helps to remove stuff.


Good luck. Yorkie teeth overlap, crowd in and do all kinds of things that require careful attention. My DH brushes Dinky's teeth every night without fail and we use the additive to water. Still he had to have 8 teeth out on the last cleaning.


We use the same additive now, but it is stronger and goes right onto his teeth.
