ok so greenies are out big time! that leaves me the question of actually brushing her teeth myself.
as i use baby tooth brushes for Crowley my hedgehog, softer bristles so as not to upset her quills but still clean them and her skin, can i use the same kind on the puppies teeth? i buy them in bulk so i have 100s of them lying around.
also what do i use for toothpaste? do i need toothpaste? my other dogs would not let me near them with the paste so i just brushed their teeth really well with the brush and just kept a close eye out for any decay. i know they make it for dogs? do you have a suggested brand?
also how often should i brush puppy's teeth? my other dogs got a full jaw inspection and a brushing once every two weeks, but yorkies do have smaller teeth and i'd be worried they would chip a tooth on something since they have tiny teeth. |
