I would try only trimming when the pup is literally exhausted, has been fed and walked and tired out. I wouldn't have anyone else hold her because that probably adds to the fear. I actually have the scissors and things I need set up on the table by where I sit, and after all that, when she's starting to snuggle beside me, I start combing her and will trim around her bottom if necessary.. I try to make it super relaxing. I had taken mine for a puppy groom, but I only wanted her bathed and her nails cut. I just can't cut dogs nails!! I'll clean poop, trim, etc..but nails scare me to death. Anyway, the groomer cut all the hair off her face and ears. So now I'm actually trying to let it grow and keep it in a top knot. I've read so many things that say thats actually the best way to keep the hair out of the eyes. If I'm wrong, I'm sure more experienced people can correct me. I think with the hair off her face and ears is what makes her look more like a yorkie/silky right now. Time will tell, lol
