Yesterday while having my JR terrier having her yearly wellness check up I mentioned this to my vet as Sugar will do this as well from time to time, she said this is also a symptom of a seizure of some kind. With Sugar being diabetic she said in her it was more than likely that . She said unless it became unbearable she wasnt going to give Sugar meds for it .
Sugar only does it when her blood sugar is low so for me it is a pre warning .
Again it is best to check with your vet as it can be anything from stress , allergies, just so many things. It depends on your dog.
