Heat Cycles usually last 3 weeks. You also need to wait at least 6-8 weeks after the cycle is over before having her spayed.
As for cramps, I don't have answer for that, but I do know that some tend to get moody.
Just make sure you keep a very close eye on her, don't let her outside by herself as a male male dog can smell a female in heat miles away. Also make sure she is not around any unaltered males.
