When I had babies first I paper trained, they were 5 months old were 100% paper trained with no accidents, then I started to house break them. I still had paper down, every morning I would feed them at 7AM, 7:30 I would walk them even if they had used the paper they still got walked, even if they didn't pee or poop outside they still got walked. This has to be consistent feed same time every day, walk same time every day even if they already used the paper. They have little built in clocks. I would get home from work at 4PM, I walked them, fed at 5PM, walked again at 5:30PM, 10PM they went curb side for their last pee-pee of the night. Consistency is the key word. By 7 months they were 100% house broken, no paper had to be left down, no accidents. Maybe I was just lucky, 4 puppies all trained this way.
