I second this. I always take a towel from home and clorox wipes when going to the vet. Wipe down the exam table then place a towel on top. If you have a carrier, I would place the pup in it before entering the veterinary facility and not take him/her out until the towel is on the exam table. Don't let anyone touch your puppy unless it's the vet tech/vet doing the examination.
