I am presently feeding my 3 Wellness Small Breed Healthy weight. I alternate with Wellness Small Breed Senior which is similar. At almost 6 yrs old Karlee needs to loose a pound or to, while her litter mate Kayla eats more but is perfect weight. Tiki at 7 is maintaining a good weight though looks thin because she is so tall. All 3 are fairly inactive.
Most of the weight loss formulas only have 10% fewer calories than the regular formulas. I think cutting back on the portion and replacing with green beans to help them feel full is more effective than just switching to a lower cal version to lose weight. |
