I agree with Megansmomma that I wouldn't medicate unless you know exactly what is going on. One of my boys is a little sensitive and cannot even tolerate pumpkin -- the tiniest bit gives him diarrhea. When he has gastro problems, I don't mess around. We go to the vet.

I would stick with plain chicken breast and rice, and if the problem continues, testing at the vet.

He's been eating the same dry kibble,just an increased amount. HOWEVER a couple days last week he was given 5 Cheerios on various days, this is not something we usually do. He is usually rewarded with his kibble. I felt this may have contributed as well. Like you mentioned with your dog I have a feeling waffles is quite sensitive to changes too which is why we rarely try new things or go off schedule.
