As for at night, I would take her to her pad every half hour or hour. Don't expect her to go to it herself. She is still very young. I use the tether method when I get a new foster in the house. Put on the harness and loop the leash through your belt loop and attach yourself to the dog. That way they can't run off and pee somewhere. That also forces you to pay attention to them. If you are doing something were you can't have her tethered, then put her in her crate with the door closed. |
What if you have two of them to potty train? How do you tether two without them getting wrapped up around each other and chaotic? Cause Toby marks constantly and his marking has caused izzy to regress in her training now. She won't use a pee pad, she shreds them too, even if I tape every side to the floor. I put them outside and they will be out there for long periods and then when I let them back inside a new pee mark magically appears out of nowhere. We never seem to catch them doing it either. Super fast urination powers they have, yes? (Say it again in your Yoda voice this time)
