I am with most here, I quite frankly will just show up at my vets. She is in distress - maybe not right this moment but has been. They have always worked me in that day - and I might not get to see my regular vet - but he will always follow up with me on the visit. I have shown up when the office opens!
My secondary plan would be to go to an emergency hospital, if I could not get seen that day.
