I drive 6 hours to go get the dog from a breeder that I feel I can trust. It turns out that she is experienced and that she is trustworthy, and clearly treats her dogs like gold. The parents are healthy and wonderful, and so are the pups.
But I'm such a terrible, stupid human being, aren't I? After all, the pup I ended up purchasing is a mixed breed. Oh, the horror! If only it was a purebred, then maybe it could be justified! | Those things don't make her reputable though there is more that goes into it.
