Hello. My 3 year old girl gave birth to two babies on tuesday morning. I monitored her all day and night and still no afterbirth. So this wednesday afternoon i took her to a vet and he gave her oxitocin. He said that i shoud watch her, and i am, but nothing except for some bloody discharge is coming out. He said it might come out tomorrow...is this for real? I thought that it should come immediatly after the birth...but i dont know. DId anyone have this happen to them? And if yes, what happened? Im very worried and i need some reassurance. She is doing great, shes eating, drinking, even wags her tail now when i take her outside. She's her usual self ;barking at people and birds ; and snuggling next to her human mommy when teh babies fall asleep. SO her behavior is very good. But i feel very unsure that something might happen to her because of the afterbirth matter. Please...anyone have any comments let me know. Thanks in advance.
