Camp Bow Wow rocks! I took Toby and Izzy to a place called camp bow wow to check it out. I was nervous about having izzy with a gang of other dogs, but she needs socialization, and so does Toby. So I figured I'd try it. They asked all kinds of questions about them the minute I walked in. And not reading off a list or preprepared sheet either. They took pictures and took Toby first to the play yard and introduced the dogs to him one at a time so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. Until there were fifteen other dogs running around with him. And I got to watch every moment of it from a camera that I can access from my phone at any time! Then they did the same with izzy. There was always a person in the room at all times and it was really neat. I left them there for four hours, watching them from my phone like a stalker... And everything went fine. And when I picked them up they were so excited and when I got home a miracle happened. Toby crawled up on the recliner and passed out exhausted. All night long. That doesn't happen! So I think I've found my saving grace with Toby. They said izzy would play around a bit and then blow off the dogs to sit in the watchers lap. From what I could see they were right, lol. It was cool. I'm taking them there a lot from now on. It isn't even expensive. I spend that amount on chocolate alone in one day, so it's totally worth it if it wears them out safely. |
