A 35 lb bag will get stale before you use it up unless you have something like a foodsaver that you can vaccume seal many 1 gallon bags of dry food. Cody is almost 4 y/o he eats 2/3 cup a day. I buy 4.25 or 4.5 lb bags, After I open the bag I store the food in air tight containers. These size bags last less then a month, I always buy 2 bags at a time so I don't have to travel as often. Since you have to free feed puppies members that have puppies can better tell you how much food a month their puppies eat.
