ok, so earlier i went on a massive store jump trip all the way across town doing research on puppy food. i stooped at every store but farm and fleet .
*there was a huge, scary looking guy walking the parking lot looking into cars :/ i try not to be judgmental but you know... better safe than sorry*
anyway by research i mean i took pics of any bag of food or treats that said 'small breed or small breed puppy, small breed adult' and marked a note of where and how much so i can look up the brand and line when i got home . im always incredibly deep with my research so i want to even match the bags.
but anyhow this brought up the question of what size bag to buy :/
i found everything from 3 lbs,4lbs,4.25lbs,5lbs,6lbs,15lbs and i think 35lbs bags :/
i don't have a ton of room to store alot of dog food (it's why i buy the smaller bags of cat food for my hedgehog who goes though a 3.5 lbs bag of food in about 2 months with some left)- or to clarify i don't have alot of dry- dog proff areas to store large amounts of dog food without it being in the way. also with one small bag being anywhere from 3-4 pounds for $20 a bag i really dont wanna have to buy another every two weeks when i can get a 35 pound bag for $30 and wont have to buy again hopefully for a month.
so that leads me to my question, what is a reasonable size to buy so it's not a waste of money/space and still be a safe (enough food without having to make weekly trips to the store) supply of food?
about how many cups of dry food is in a cup?
because if i need to feed about a cup a day working up to two or three as she gets older than a 4lbs bag would be stupid , would last maybe two weeks,3 maybe but a 40lbs bag ridiculous for one 3-6 pound dog :/
**so basically i just wanna know about how many cups would be in each size bag or a simple way to work it out :/**
any help? im sooo not a math person and all the conversion charts are giving me a headache. so puppy math time? if someone could explain the equation used to solve this to me maybe in terms a yorkie could understand? id be eternally thankful
