For the eyes, I use a wet washcloth to loosen any gunk and then comb it out with those comb/brushes normally used for mascara and eyebrow shaping? Because the mascara/eyelash comb is fine but also has some space between the teeth, it's a great way to comb around the muzzle when there are knots due to food or the gunk or whatever.
Congrats on your new rescue! Might be a good idea to check the carpet, if you can, but adult dogs are normally okay to hold their bladders and stuff for longer than puppies. |
