Cody being my adopted boy, got him when he was 2 1/2 y/o must have been taught by prev. to not lick . It took me 11 months to get him to cuddle with me when we went to bed, I have to assume they allowed him on the bed, but he was not allowed to be near or next to them. I have been working on him to show him it's ok to kissie momma, he has the sweetest tiny tongue, no he's not a tiny pup, he's a teapot, 12lbs, but has a tiny tounge, he's getting there. I am grabbing him all day swooping him up and smothering him in kisses everyday lol .....as a kid I was told if you had a cut, dog licking the wound helped heal it, could be one of those "ole wives tale's", I've never let a dog do that. | I think Toto may not have been allowed to sleep near their original owners either. At first he would only sleep by my feet and would not cuddle at all! Now we have had him almost two years and now he sleeps above my head and will cuddle under the covers when he gets cold, and recently started to try to give kisses. Quote:
