Hi,
Not sure if ive posted about this before, but I can't seem to find one.
My yorkie is 13 years old, we rescued him 4 years ago, and has had the CT before we got him.
He was diagnosed also with CHF last October.
He weighs 8lb, is on Vetmadin 1 tablet twice daily, frusomide 1/4 tablet once a day,(5mg) and Cardalis 1/2 tablet once a day.(5mg) He is also on no salt diet and i cook his own food.
He has been doing well uptill the last week, when the coughing has got worse. He coughs when he moves sometimes now, during the day, and has terrible coughing fits at night, to the point now, where i am getting up with him and sitting with him for an hour or so until he has calmed down.
Apart from that, he is absolutely fine, no other problems at all.
We are also trying Benadryl, the childrens version, he has just under 5 ml in the morning and then 2 ml at about 10pm.
I don't think it is doing any good though. Is there anything else we could try, to make him more comfortable and break this awful cycle?
