Getting a dog to me is like the wedding vow

"For better or worse, in sickness and health, till death do us part"

When my Matese started to loose her vision and could no longer sleep on my bed because she could not see well enough to jump off the bed, I slept in my home office where I have a futon, my futon has a thick mattress, but it didn't matter, it was low, she could sleep with me and was able to get off when she wanted, the next year she became almost totally blind, no more futon, so I got out my camping blow up mattress, set that up, she would lay on the floor next to me, so we were still together.............. I moved from my home town, NY to Pa. because they were selling the house where I was renting for 22 years, I couldn't find an apartment in the area I wanted to live in because no one allowed dogs. I was not going to get rid of my babies, so I bought a house in Pa. commuted to NY every day to my NY job, just to be able to keep my babies and never fear going through what I did in NY. It sickens me to hear reasons why ppl have to get rid of their pets, but then again, they cannot be true animal lovers.
