Pet Supplies sells a hard but spongy ball with spikes on it and it also squeaks. I don't think a dog can remove the squeaker from it. Cody isn't a ball liking dog, but he sure LOVES his spongy ball. Cody's prev. owner never bought him toys so he does not destroy them. I don't believe these hard spongy balls can be deflated.
