My Tibbe was pretty outspoken after his neutering and kind of made a keening sound anytime I moved him that night and most of the next day but then he rallied and began to act normally again. I kept him from even going down the short back porch step for 3 days and kept him from jumping for a solid week. Picked him up and put him down from every trip up and down to the couch, chairs or bed for 7 days except for one or two times he beat me to the draw off the couch! Scared me silly but he was fine I guess - seemed just the same afterward as he had before the jumps but I knew he shouldn't do it again. I felt awful for 2 whole days after his surgery, guilt-ridden and horrible for putting him through it all. Now, hindsight, I'm so glad I did. He never became a marker nor ever has lifted his leg in the house and as he has MVD, he never can pass it along to any pups. Hope your boys' feel better quickly. At least the worst is over and now just the healing is left.
