ZoE's vet does not accept Credit Care either, and has signs up saying so.

I have an investment fund for ZoE (for medical expenses and her future care should anything happen to me) but it's not easy to access the money in the wee hours of the night at the emergency vet.

So, I keep a credit card just for ZoE. But, at our regular vet, I always write a check, so the card often goes along time between uses, which, fyi, can cause problems. So if u get a credit card specifically for dog emergencies, remember to use it to buy something about once every six months or so to keep it active, even if you immediately pay it off right away. Also tell your credit card company the purpose of the card and they will note your file. So if you go six months with no activity and charge a large sum at an ER Vet, they won't decline it thinking it's stolen.
