Thanks Lisa - we trained a bit inside together today and last night. On the stand and hold - difficult for a service dog to do - but that is my focus with her. She is getting a wee bit better at that - but still thinks of it as a game. Magic at her age - was all serious about it - well he was borne a serious boy!
She is a debutante. Much different personality - yet going towards serious in her own female way.
She was easily distracted and had boredom with only a few minutes of heel in the house. And she is still using her mouth!!! She got disciplined for this very severely. For her that means BAD GIRL> NO MOUTH. And I walk out of the room and ignore her. I have to personally get her out and about much more.
I love hubby, but he has not been trained in competitive obedience, and is rather too permissive for me.
Dara has linked herself with him, which is great, finally one of our Blackies have. But she still sees me as the Alpha top dog, which I am in this household.
And then we have her footshy thing, I am working with her on this.
