We are still working on the same thing with my puppy. She's about 15 weeks now. I have found letting her play with socks is a bad idea, lol. Because if my son or I are sitting around or even walking with our socks on, she seems to think we are just wearing her toys. Sunni is getting a little bit better with this since I've taken advice I read on other boards as far as biting goes. Rather then try to complete eliminate her biting, I've been trying to teach her to soften it and I'm amazed to say she is finally getting the idea that her biting me is not as much fun as she thought. She gets lots of praise for just mouthing my hand and now just gives licks which I say thank you for the kisses, lol. Her going after the feet though is taking longer. I work on the No command..when I or my son are walking and she starts going after the feet, we stop dead and say no! Naughty girl. She does not like being called naughty. Its progress not perfection. I'm sure having two little kids makes it much more stressful, then my situation. But my son is disabled, so he's sort of a target. I'm helping him learn how to deal with a puppy, as much as helping a puppy deal with humans. Ive always had dogs, from puppies on..but I had support with them, lol. I recently realized this is the first puppy I got by myself without anyone else involved. I didn't even tell my son about it because it all happened so quickly and he was in his day program Luckily, he's very used to dogs and knows mom can't live without them. We also have tons of toys around for distraction..and she is always up for a came of find your toy…she will go for it as long as I keep throwing it. Good Luck!!
