Animal Smiley 036 Taping ears, fold or not?

Hi guys,
I am working on Bambi's ears, unfortunately they are pretty large and thin. I never taped Moose's up, just shaved his ears occasionally, but unfortunately that won't cut it with this little pup ;D

At first, I was folding her ear in half and wrapping tape around it, and then wrapped the two ears together with more tape. These lasted maybe two days if I was lucky. She was very good at getting it off, and the tape didn't stick as well to the hair or the ears.

Next, I saw somewhere people laying their yorkie ears flat and folding tape around them. This worked much better and lasted much longer.

But I wonder too, because she has had her ears up for 2 weeks in one week intervals separated by one day, if maybe folding the ear gives it more support. Her left ear is still down, unfortunately, and she is almost 5 months, but maybe I'm panicking.

Anyway, I wanted everyone's opinion on how they prefer to tape, folded or flat?

Thanks for the input in advance
