I just entered my Evie in a Barn Hunt club and plan on competing with her (and my kelpie and a mini poodle). It seems natural for her as she stalked a mouse at the tender age of 4 months then managed to kill one all on her brave little own at 6 months.

The mini poodle, all 11 pounds of him loves to go out in the back and catch/kill field rats, most of which are bigger than his head. He so very proudly struts around with his kill. *shudder* To give him credit, he tries to retrieve my ducks, but they are waaaay larger than he and the goose gets a little pissy about it. lol

My Kelpies are used for herding, but since I have little reason to herd 3 lambs often enough to keep the Kelpies happy, I've started Barn Hunts and tracking with them.

But, yeah, Yorkies, at least mine, even as mixes, really seem to love crittering.
