Please let us know how you make out with replacing that doggie door, and what you went with. yorkiemini suggestion sounds good, that's what I did without cutting slits,but all my dogs that have used my method had no problem getting in and out. The one pup I had that I thought for sure would NEVER go through this type of flap when I first got the door installed shocked me lol, she had no fear what so ever. They loved the freedom of coming and going.
