I realize she is old enough to be spayed but I have been waiting to put some weight on her. She is still 2.5 lbs and she is skinny. Not concerned about the weight as my vet is really good at spay/neuter of smaller animals just want to make sure she is healthy first. I plan on doing so this month with the pre surgery blood work up done like with all of my dogs.

I have heard some very scary dangerous holistic things so to me it's worth the extra money to go to the vet. Although if you have a great relationship with your vet you can normally just call in and ask the vet a question.
