Poppy is the exact same. I have a baby gate up on the stairs just now as she isn't totally comfortable coming down them yet so this way I can monitor her. I can go up and leave her downstairs (with other people) for literally 2 mins and she is so excited, tail wagging, jumping up and down (usually on her 2 back legs) when I come back.
It's like I have been away for hours!!!
