I am glad the little lost Dude found a good loving home. I took in a 9 year old Yorkie (displaced due to a divorce). He was not abused though, so I was lucky that he is a well rounded adult. He was maybe not given enough attention, but not abused. He is now in a home where he is adored and he is thriving. It is amazing what some love and attention can do to an animal. Mine has only gotten younger in the almost 2 months he has been with me. The other family didn't have the time to play with him and just love him. They had little kids and busy lives. I am a stay at home mom who spends nearly all day with my little dude (Teek). Good luck with the new addition and your previous one as well. I hope the new one adjusts fully and learns to love you the way it sounds like you love him.
