Unfortunately this post hit home for me. We have major jumping issues. Our little girl thinks she is a mountain goat and she has the long legs and little body that get her anywhere she wants to go. She flies down before anyone can get to her and in early January she fell, seriously broke her leg. I WISH I could train her to use steps. She is almost healed and it's exhausting keeping her jumping under control. E X H A U S T I N G
I am really not sure what more I can do. If there is a bed or couch around she flies to the top. ugh.
One thing I would point out is her vet said to keep toys, pillows etc. out of her way so she can make a good solid landing. A tweak at the landing can cause trouble. If I put steps up, she jumps over them.
good luck with your little one, don't let her get up higher than she is able to safely get herself down. (easier said than done if she is fast and wild like my girl)
