Oh, Ann, I wish that were true with my Tibbe. He is a hairball - can't stay groomed tidily longer than 3 days before the hair I cut away from his eyes/ear tips is back out again and his body hair seems to grow a 1/8 inch a day. His neck ruff, body hair literally seem to spout longer every night. Hair on his feet is just like the hair on his eyes/ears - his feet stay cut close and neat about 3 days and the next thing I know he's into serious Grinch feet again within 3 weeks, toenails completely hidden and the ends of his foothair turning up on the end just like Grinch feet. My Scotty grew pretty fast but his hair was thinner, silkier while Jilly was a slow grower but Tibbe grows lots of thick hair length in 3 days. Thank goodness it never mats. It's impossible to keep his eyes, feet, ear tips neat. I kind of like to keep my Yorkies in a puppy cut and he's the only one of my 3 Yorkies who I seem to constantly have to be scissoring on and using the beard trimmer. Same with his nails - grow like his hair. I'm on them once - twice a week or I hear them begin to tap on the floor, a sound I can't bear in dogs.
