I think she's still so young she will be fine as far as bonding/socialization goes..


I would never encourage anyone to get a new puppy knowing that they are going away but since this wasn't planned - you can only do what you can do..


I think it would be a good idea to leave ER vet info and regular vet info with whoever is watching her whilst your gone and ensure that they know about hyperglycemia and the dangers of having such a little baby around i.e. jumping off things and being stepped on which can severely injure or kill even adult YT's.


If you can't guarantee that the people you know are knowledgeable enough about the breed, etc (and many people wouldn't be), you may want to look at other options like vets which can watch them and which are open all night or check in on animals at night...


Others may have more info on that type of thing.
