Well we've just finished an energetic game of chase around the living room, much to the amusement of the hubby! It's tough to keep a 10 month old housebound pup busy when it's -30 out and the long walks are a distant memory. Come on spring!
That reminds me of another clever thing he's learned though. We take many different routes on our walks and when we get close to home, we've been saying 'Go home Dex!' or when it's been really cold we ask him, 'More walk or go home?' and let him decide. But he ALWAYS knows where home is now, no matter which way we're coming at it from. When we're almost at the house I've started dropping the leash and shouting 'Go home Dex!' while he pelts for the front door. It's adorable plus I realised this is probably a really GOOD idea for that 'just in case' moment should he ever get away on us. He knows where he lives!
