I have a 2 year old yorkie that I'm concerned her hair isn't growing back. She got groomed a few months ago… I had them cut her back short and leave her legs long like bell bottoms. Well, it doesn't seem like her hair is even growing back at all. It should be a lot longer by now since it's been AT LEAST 3 months since she's had her hair cut, but she's still not due for any length taken off because there's hardly anything there!
So my question is, could there be an underlying issue? If so, what do you guys think it could be? She does have really dry skin and her hair is kind of thin to begin with. It seems like this was never an issue before. Could this be a food issue? I feed her and my yorkie/maltese mix Taste of the Wild. Could it just be the winter? She was just at the vet and the vet didn't say anything about her skin or anything that pertains to this. She said she looks perfectly healthy! Would a food change help maybe? I'm at a loss...
