I am assuming that your vet took a sample of the inside of your pet's ear and looked under the microscope? There are more things than yeast that can cause itching in the ear.

Don't think I would be happy with a dog that is that intent on itching not having a specific diagnosis. If he is "sensitive" than what is he sensitive to? what kind of tests were done to arrive at this diagnosis? If they cannot give you a specific diagnosis other than "sensitive" I would check out another vet. There should be an itemized bill that tells you just what tests were done. If you do not see more than one microscopic exam that should give you a hint.
