I'm chuckling bc I'm wondering why/how your vet thinks that microscopic pollens are not *everywhere*, bc they indeed are. You could never, ever let your dog outside and they could still suffer intense pollen/enviro allergies.
The cardinal sign of allergies is paw licking/chewing -- this does not, at all, mean it's food allergies. Food allergies are very rare.

I personally would not be comfortable with this particular vet treating my kiddo's allergies, and I so hope that doesn't offend you or that you take it personally. Unfortunately, what this vet is saying to you is def telling me that they are not at all familiar w/ canine allergies.
If you can, I'd get to a Vet Dermatologist asap bc they will get you on track immediately....whereas you could end up seeing a generalist vet 10x without ever getting on track. Find Derms here:
