The cost sometimes depends more on the breeder than on the dogs.
I've heard it said that you should choose a breeder before you choose a dog. I've gone three routes (initially buying a Yorkie from a breeder I now cannot recommend) and have also adopted a rescue. I'd suggest finding a breeder you trust who can show you all of the information s/he can provide about the lineage, anticipated health and size, applicable contracts and guarantees, regarding a puppy you may purchase ...OR there are rescue groups with whom you can apply and--assuming you are a suitable adopter--a purebred who needs a new family will become available for you for a reasonable fee.
