You can spend $500 from a breeder who doesn't do health checks, doesn't breed for confirmation so the Yorkie can be far from the standard or there could be health problems and then you spend money on Vet bill. Not always just an example. $4000 no way. They are trying to selling something "rare"= they aren't to standard = scam anyways. If a pup is that high you would need breeding rights... The pup would need to be a Show Quality and its Sire or Dam would need to be a Westminster Champ. But nobody is going to sell you such a dog. Just make sure they do health checks and you can see at least one parent if not both. And see there living conditions. My pup I just bought. Her Sire and Dam are Ch. Her sire just went to Westminster. He grandpa is BOB Ch 2011 Westminster. Her Great Grandpa is Oliver the legend. She has a strong line and is under $2k. Research is your friend. jmo
