There really is no difference, but the first thing I would look at is the breeder then the price tag. You'll have some unscrupulous people who will sell "micro mini teacups" for $5000 and they're riddled with health issues and you'll have respectable breeders who sell pet quality anywhere from $800-1500 and they do genetic testing on the parents. I know of one breeder who only charged a family $500 for a puppy when she usually advertises for more, because she felt the family was the best fit for that particular dog. It also depends on location. Usually in California and NY they're more expensive, but down south they can be way less. Whatever you choose make sure you're comfortable with the breeder. Have they done genetic testing? Can you speak to past customers? How good is their guarantee? Alot of the good breeders have repeat customers. Good luck in your search!
