I thought guilt was a just a mom/kid thing but, no, it extends to these little terriers, too!!! I could totally relate to what you said about thinking you were doing the right thing one minute and cursing yourself the next.
You did the right thing, absolutely. I think these little guys are sometimes more insecure when we're around because they think that if they are scared, we are scared so they need to protect us from something.
I think this is why so many groomers find that dogs act out when the owners are around! Anyway, glad all went okay
