Don't get discouraged! I was also afraid that my pup would go backwards during training. From 12 to 18 weeks old, he'd poop and pee in the crate almost every single night, and also during the day! We washed the poor pup so much he was getting dandruff! Then, all of a sudden, he started to get it. He hasn't pooped or peed in his crate during the day in two weeks, and he hasn't pooped or peed in the crate overnight in one week (he's almost 21 weeks old now). We've been set on outside training him since he was 13 weeks old, so basically, he's been learning to hold it!

I'm a first time dog owner, so I don't have much advice to offer... Just be consistent and try not to get overwhelmed. It gets better.
