He has been here 6 weeks now (he is 9 years old) and he barely barks. I love it though, to have a quiet dog like that.

When we wants something you know he wants something. He will come up to me and paw the back of my leg to get my attention. He will come in the room and start at me until I get up and follow him. Usually it is to go to our other's dog dish and paw at it to tell me it is empty. I keep telling them that his setter brother only gets fed twice a day because he is a gluten, but Teek doesn't think it is fair that his bowl is always full and that Gatlin's bowl is not.

He will scratch at the door to go out, but he will only scratch at it once and walk away so you have to pay attention. He is a good dog though.
Aw, he sounds so sweet. Dogs don't usually bark at any new home until they begin to "own" it in their own minds, feel it's their territory to protect.
