No expect but this worked for us.
Both mine were quick to get their bows out, but now they wear them all day. They both lay still with their head on a pillow to put the bows on, but it wasn't always that way. Every stage was done with a treat.
Be relaxed yourself, relax your dog with stroking, massage. treats.

We started with the small rubber bands, making sure they were not pulling any hairs, with a pretty coloured baby hair band on top. We did that for a few weeks, with no bows. If they went to rub their heads on the rug we said 'leave' and distracted them and praised.

They tend to stay in better, if a front bit of hair is put in a band, then bow added, then catch up some of the hair behind the band and add another rubber hair band. Does that make sense? We have bows attached to clips and bands, the band ones stay in the longest. Probably because they bother them less.
