Hi,
I have always thought Yorkies were adorable but never thought I would have the pleasure of owning one. I met some people and barely knew them and they gave me their 9 year old Yorkie (they had things they needed to deal with and couldn't care for him). So, I brought home a 9 year old with no idea of what to expect. Fast forward to now (6 weeks later) and oh my gosh! I am so in love with him. He would not respond to his old name so I gave him a new one and he loves it. I think he actually started to really love me when I gave him a new name. I think to him that meant he was mine. He adjusted fairly quickly to our routines and our life. He fits perfectly into our family and we couldn't be happier with him. I will post a picture when I figure out how. My husband says he looks like an Ewok from Star Wars so he is named Teek and he loves his new name and his new home. He is a jewel for sure.
