According to that, the only premium foods I'd be able to feed my pup that I can buy local is Orijen, and the protein level scares me a bit. My dog goes on a walk every day, but he isn't incredibly active otherwise, and I heard that a high protein diet wouldn't be so great in that case. I don't know what to believe anymore. lol

I know everyone says "oh anything manufactured in the Diamond plant is terrible, so many recalls" but I honestly don't see the big deal. Solid Gold, for example, has had only one recall, back in 2012. It was a small one, for salmonella, that no consumer even reported having issues with.

I'll be sticking with Solid Gold Wee Bits until someone gives me a good enough reason to swap to something new. Supposedly there's going to be a new small breed turkey formula releasing in April/May, so I'll most likely be rotating between the two.
