Marking behaviour is not corrected by neutering. There are several products you can use to clean up the urine/and or marking stains - to hopefully limit your dog marking/urinating in that spot.




If you have no females in the house, the training for not marking/urinating inside is the same and will likely be more successful. I would recommend a belly band or at least have him on leash to you, so that you can correct the behaviour -this really works.


In terms of male dogs, IMO, there is no overt health reason to neuter them. Speak to your vet about neutering and the pros and cons. Beyond health, it might just be easier for you to have a neutered animal, it might just help with roaming behaviour, and of course if he is neutered he can't contribute in anyway to breeding.
