Yorkie puppy coats can be a bit difficult to tell exactly what they will end up with as adults. Even harder to tell in photos sometimes. Puppy coats can be a challenge to take care of for the first 6 - 9 months, even if the dog ends up with the perfect silk coat.
I wouldn't rely too much on eye shine. There are many factors that can influence eye shine, especially in photos. My Teddy's eyes often shine gold in photos, but he does not have a cotton coat.
