Neutering is definately better for him. There is a higher risk for cancer if he is unneutered. ... if he has just started marking then it is possible for the marking to be reversed. The longer he does it the harder it will. Every dog is different! My mother in law had her chihuahua neutered when he was 2 1/2 and while he doesn't mark in her house he still does it in mine....but we do have females in the house so I think that's why.
